What this task explores

Navigate choices, consequences and control

Space Explorer is designed to examine aspects of cognitive control, learning from positive and negative outcomes, stress sensitivity and approach or avoidance behaviour. It is a research assessment — not a diagnostic instrument.

How it works

Participant experience

Participants pilot a small craft through a space environment, making brief choices in response to changing signals and outcomes. The experience is intentionally accessible so that behaviour, not instructions, drives the measurement.

Example measures

What may be recorded

  • Choices
  • Reaction times
  • Responses to feedback
  • Trial-by-trial behavioural change
  • Decision consistency
  • Approach vs. avoidance tendencies

Research context

Being evaluated carefully

Space Explorer is being used and evaluated in research contexts alongside clinical and self-report information. Findings are used to characterise cognitive and behavioural patterns rather than to diagnose individual conditions.

MindMetrics is under research and development. It is not a standalone diagnostic test and does not provide medical advice.
